Stephen Ashton
I've always been a consumate voyeur. It never ceases to amaze me what people willingly tell a total stranger as long as they feel you're genuinely interested. Filming them is just an extension of that.
I learned to tell a good story at the University of Toronto, then honed my production skills at Canada's national networks. Shooting and editing was mostly a self taught thing that didn't start until I moved to Florida in 1993.
I love what I do. You get a brand new challenge with every project. The one thing to remember when working for a client is that no matter how wacky an idea may sound, work with it, because the client always knows their business and their customers better than you do, so they're almost always right -- even when it kills you to admit it.
Andrew Lee
Florida born and bred, Andrew is a member of a small, unrecognized minority group - Florida gulf coast surfers. He's learned to do a lot with a little, the perfect skill set for independant video and filmmakers.
Andrew's many talents include excellent design instincts, quality camera work and accomplished motion graphics skills. He can take a picture of your grandmother and make her look like she's a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.
Rebecca Croft
This talented editor paid her dues for years assembling wedding videos. She can turn two hours of questionable footage into a six minute tour de force - practically over night. Rebecca is a little on the quiet side and her style shades toward Goth, but as they say, still waters run deep. She is also a Florida native.
Matthew Gordon
This year's resident intern, Matt looks like he has a bright future ahead of him. Born and raised in Tampa (I guess I only employ natives?!?) Matt served a tour with the military before attending USF to hone his creative skills in digital media design. Now in his final year, his raw talent for motion graphics and design is coming to the surface. One semester at Multimedia Productions boot camp should ground him in the real world. It's up to him where he goes from there.
Many talented individuals regularly contribute to Multimedia Productions as freelancers. Over the years we have built a dependable network of camera operators, lighting and sound professionals, website programmers, voice professionals, actors and others who find working for themselves to be more profitable and satisfying than working as employees of one company. And that's a good thing because with the cyclical nature of this business, we're often either buried in projects or playing Tiger Woods video golf. Why just the other day I discovered a way to curve a shot completely around a big tree by applying maximum fade.
Rest assured, whatever the scope of your project, we will bring professional commitment and creative experience to the table. Our job is always to make you look as good as you are.
