Sharpro - Custom Grips
The owner of this company found us online. He had a clear idea of what he wanted to say, as well as great still photos which we put to good use. We shot the golfer swinging against a green screen, used After Effects to give it a high tech treatment, then zoomed in to the golfer's open hands for a good look at the grip. With all the talent in his own backyard, we're happy that our California-based client chose us to produce his commercial.

Mugs N Jugs - "New Talent"
This year we introduced Mugsy and Hector, two adventurous spokes-chickens for Mugs N Jugs Restaurants. So far they've found a humorous way to sell everything from Hamburgers to Gift Cards. The first example shows Mugsy cooking a very large burger. The second clip is two fifteen second spots announcing holiday gift cards and the convenience of take out. The Burger spot was also recut to a fifteen second version.

Mugs N Jugs - Two Ways to Watch Sports on TV
Just in time for the NFL season last year, we got together with our favorite character actor, George Hook, to shoot a humorous look at watching sports on TV. Our "fan" is blissfully unaware that there's something better than spaghetti O's and cocktail weinies, and a 13" screen - that is until he steps into Mugs. Actually, we had a hard time getting George to go home when the shoot was finished.

Anthony Palmer
This is a sixty second direct response spot that asks viewers to call and reserve to attend investment seminars offered by Florida-based retirement wealth consultant, Anthony Palmer. We shot Anthony in front of a green screen, then positioned him in his "new office". Combined with some sophisticated motion graphics and a direct response message that refuses to talk down to the viewer, this spot has been very successful.

Mugs N Jugs - Boneless Wings
We don't get to do a lot of funny spots so even though this is Mugs again, it's funny so just humor us. Boneless wings are a sensitive subject for chickens (as you can imagine), so we had to take a different approach. This spot invokes weird history to make it's point. The client is a wise man of few words. His email message after viewing the finished commercial was one line. "Love it thanks."

It's Happening St. Petersburg!
A series of commercials in which local businesses draw attention to the downtown renaissance and naturally, to themselves. Shooting and lighting styles are dictated by the subject and 2D motion graphics created in After Effects wrap these spots in a colorful yet cost effective package. Response has been good. We've produced a second spot for some clients.

Oldsmar Flea Market - Holiday Greetings
We have a lot of flea markets in Florida and their commercials all look nasty. Cheap-lookng titling over fast cuts of small booths filled with bric a brac is not visually appealing. Besides, doesn't everyone know by now what a flea market looks like? We took the high road with this holiday spot with a simple message: You can find gifts for everyone at the flea market. A traveling ribbon and holiday stickers complete the package.

Tarpon Dodge - Local Dealer Series
Here's a series we have a lot of fun with. Each month the dealer's GM, John Ellington, comes down and narrates two spots in front of our green screen. Then we work up original art and animation and blend it with rolling footage to produce something new and topical. Recently the dealership was renamed. Here are examples of the latest crop.

Hillsborough County School District - Teacher Features
Here's another series, this one produced to promote teaching as a second career. There are nine of these so far but two should be enough to give you the idea. A custom designed, motion graphics and transitions package contributed style and branding elements to a simple concept; get your best teachers to talk about teaching.

Re-Elect Earnest Williams
Sometimes you get paid to promote a good cause. Earnest Williams, a respected City Councilman was in a tight race with a challenger who was being less than honorable in her personal attacks. Earnest had the vote in his mostly African American district, we just had to help him remind the rest of the city that his record was sterling. The race might have been tight but the final tally was a firm endorsement for Williams' second term.

DMI Research - Alzheimer's Study
This commercial was produced for a company that received a grant to conduct a study with Alzheimer's patients. The budget for seeking volunteers was tiny so the challenge was to produce something tasteful, professional and effective without actors. Our solution was to take an old family reunion photo and eliminate portions of the picture like the disease might. The result was a well balanced, low budget commercial.

Gratzzi - Italian Restaurant
Local restaurant spots are hard to do, that's why there are so many bad ones. When we got the assignment from Grattzi, a higher end, downtown eatery, we banished the typical "patrons savoring their meals, proud owner and waiting staff standing by" shots and set out to capture the essence of the dining experience. Yes, Grattzi serves awesome Italian cuisine, but equally important, the place has hustle and flow.

PGA - Chrysler Championship
In 2003, the PGA made Tampa its final stop on the tour and we produced the innaugral commercials and promotional video. Stills of the course combined with action footage and a silent open made this one a winner.

Florida RV Association - RV Shows
This client produces RV shows throughout Florida all year long. We produce a whole new themed commercial every season, then update the show info as needed. This type of commercial needs a strong grabber to hook viewers that may be interested, then very clear date and place info so people will know what to do and when, even if they only see the spot once. We think this one accomplishes both objectives.

AJA - Debut CD
A commercial announcing the debut CD of AJA; pop-singing sisters signed by BIG3 Records. We combined recent concert footage with a rapid cut photo montage and some snappy moving titles and transitions to produce a big league commercial with still photos and concert footage.

GCMA - Havana Nights
This year, the annual fund raiser for the Gulf Coast Museum of Art had a Latin theme so we drove some old clunkers from the 40's and 50's up to the front door, then followed a roving camera past salsa dancers and patrons - all in 2D animation with rotoscoping done in After Effects.

Duralast - The Painter
Here's actor George Hook at his best. He plays a larcenous house painter explaining why he loves his job. This is a good example of how a few well chosen props, camera angles and a good actor can turn a low budget spot into a quality local commercial. Produced for a Sarasota-based, home improvement contractor.

Tampa Bay Downs - Horses & Poker
The client already had some expensive racing footage shot on film with professional actors. Our job was to videotape a mocked up poker game using race track staff and make it blend seamlessly with the film. Colorizing, glow and blur were used. Did it work?

Your Electronic Handyman - Professional Home Theater
Here's an example of a direct response commercial. The product is a do-it-yourself video for installing home theater. The examples are taken from the actual video which we shot and produced first. Bold colorful titles add impact to the message while softening the sell.

Bob Tyler Toyota - Straight Talk
Still one of my favorites, we help this car dealer look honest and self deprecating and in the process, he comes off as a champ! Bob just sat for an hour and talked about the business. An intensive edit, followed by a new vehicle collage done in After Effects produced this result.

Brandon Mitsubish - Esto es Imenso!
Well if you made it this far, here's a bonus spot to leave you with a smile. These two car salesmen discovered their true calling when we showed up at the lot. I knew the short guy could talk but one look at the big guy told me we had a comedy team. A script rewrite and some serious coaching were essential for this Spanish spot.
